Easy 24 piece jigsaw puzzles online
Twenty-four pieces is the smallest size Pieceware offers. It is not much of a challenge for an adult, and that is the point: it is the size for a four-year-old on a tablet, for a grandparent trying the controls for the first time, or for checking that everyone on a call can actually join before you start something bigger.
Any picture in the catalog – or a photo you upload – can be cut into 24 pieces. You create a lobby, share the link, and everyone who opens it plays on the same board and sees each other's cursors. No account.
What 24 pieces is like
The grid is about six pieces by four, so each piece is a sizeable chunk of the picture, a face, a whole flower, and is large on screen without any zooming. Two thirds of the pieces are edge pieces, which means the frame and the puzzle are nearly the same thing.
Finger-friendly is the main virtue. On a phone the pieces are still big enough for a small hand to drag, and with so few of them the scatter area around the board stays tidy.
How long it takes
Typical times with the classic shape and rotation off, for a picture with a reasonable amount of detail:
| Players | Estimated time |
|---|---|
| 1 player | 2–4 min |
| 2 players | 1–2 min |
| 3–4 players | 1 min |
Rotation adds around half again. The twisted shape adds more; square can double the time. Uniform pictures (sky, water, patterns) are slower than busy ones.
Which piece shape to pick
Classic, and rotation off, for young children. For an adult who finds 24 pieces too tame, the answer is not a harder shape but a bigger count: square pieces at 24 are about the same puzzle, only uglier.
- Classic (Normal) – Traditional knobs and holes. Every piece has its own silhouette, so the shape helps you.
- Twisted (Hard) – Wobbly, uneven cuts and knobs of random size. Pieces look alike and edges do not line up neatly.
- Square (Brutal) – Straight cuts, no knobs at all. Only the picture tells you where a piece goes.
Tips
- Pick a picture with a clear subject and bright colours; animals are the obvious winners.
- Playing with a child from another house? Make the puzzle, press the share button and send the link; you both see the same board and each other's pointers.
- Use it as a connection test before a bigger group puzzle: if everyone can finish a 24, everyone can join the real one.

Questions
Is 24 pieces good for a toddler?
For a child who can already drag things on a tablet, yes. Pieces are big and a puzzle takes a couple of minutes, which suits a short attention span. Sit with them the first time; the toolbar is designed for grown-ups.
Is there anything for kids besides 24 pieces?
The next sizes up are 48 and 100 pieces. The pictures are the same catalog for everyone, so choose one yourself rather than handing over the whole list.
